About Werkks

Who we are

Werkks is built by Adaptels Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202442770Z), an independent software company based in Singapore. The product is designed and developed locally by a small team led by founder Mervin Tan, a software engineer who works directly with Singapore maintenance companies to shape the platform around how field teams actually operate.

What Werkks does

Werkks is a maintenance management platform for Singapore building and facility maintenance companies. It brings jobs, quotes, invoices, client records and site photos into one place, so contractors spend less time on paperwork and building managers get a clear, auditable trail of what was done, when, and by whom.

• Job scheduling and assignment for field technicians
• Quotes and invoices generated from completed work
• A read-only client portal for building owners and MCSTs
• Photo documentation attached to every job record

Why we publish compliance guides

Singapore building maintenance is governed by a dense web of regulation — the BMSMA, BCA periodic inspections, SCDF fire safety requirements, PUB water tank rules, NEA public health standards and more. Much of that guidance is scattered across statutes and agency circulars that are hard for a busy MCST council member or facilities manager to piece together.

Our guides translate those requirements into practical terms: what must be inspected, how often, by whom, and what records to keep. Every article is written and reviewed by Mervin Tan, referencing the relevant Singapore regulations. The guides are free, and they are not legal advice — for binding interpretations, always check with the relevant agency or a qualified professional.

Corrections and contact

Regulations change, and we would rather fix an article than leave it stale. If you spot something outdated or inaccurate in any of our guides, or want to talk about the product, please get in touch — we reply within two business days.
